Gmail is a marvel. It is also a 2004 idea: a list of everything anyone has ever sent you, sorted by date, with a number on top telling you how behind you are. Checking versus being told
Gmail's model makes you the worker: open the app, scan the list, decide, archive, repeat, many times a day. emailed's model makes the AI the worker: it reads everything the moment it arrives, and interrupts you only when something actually needs you. There is nothing to check, because there is no inbox to check.

What Gmail is still better at
Honesty matters: Gmail is free, universal, and unbeatable for search, bulk operations, and heavy attachment workflows. If you live in email for work, you will still open it sometimes. emailed does not delete your Gmail. It makes opening it optional.
The point
